I understand I think what you are saying, my only thought on reflection of really disturbing music or art and my intense obbsession with it was diefinitely driven by a darkness in my own soul that identified with the darkness in the art. Cathartic sometimes yes, but inspiring or creative probably not. Not to say that there isn't a time for some really sad piece of music to express what words can't, take "Taps" for instance or bagpipe music at a funeral.

Ahhihlation and cruelty being depicted...my jury still out on that.
