Large scale engineering projects could employ the entire working population of the planet during generations of combined effort and are entirely feasible today.

Hey we were watching a great program on TV the other night, does anyone ever watch MegaStructures? They have these really great programs on large scale engineering. There actually some things happening but oh so little compared to the need! We should have giant think tanks happening all the time instead of stupid wars that we can't win and spend billions of dollars on. I mean just that statement, how things have changed, we drop the word "billion" without even blinking an eye. Ugh!

We were all sitting around our dinner table tonight reading a magazine that contained a large article on Dubai. Now here is a place that could make a fantastic use of bottomless wealth. They have the vision to see that they will run out of oil and are turning their country into the new Las Vegas, like we need another one of those! That immense wealth with the technological expertise could be channeled into finding solutions for population pressures. They are going up so as to maintain this beach front property realestate, it would be amazing to see them actually engage in real problem solving for the future instead of more satiation of the human vices. Ahhh we need leadership!
