Truth is always plain and simple and unadorned. Therefore every human being over the age of three knows the Truth when they see or hear it – and that is the way it has always meant to be. Gandhi always said that Truth and Love are one and the same. In this respect Truth is God
The great problem with Truth today is that those who express it are seen to be either simple-minded or naively self-deluded. Those who worship the Truth and make that fact plainly known are laughed at, and if they persist in their stance, invariably end up crucified in one way or another
Truth has never always been under attack. Distain for the Truth crept in towards the end of the Iron Age, when power corrupted the Church and catholic ministers began selling passports to heaven. That corruption initiated an Age of protestant scientific determinism. Science systematically dismantled Creationism. With God gone, only ever-changing artificial truths remained. This left men without an Infinite Source of Goodness to anchor their lives on. This bred pseudo-intellectualism. Pseudo-intellectuals who challenge the Truth are seen as daring and charismatic rebels and they have attracted a great host of lackeys. It is they who dominate the Earth today and who laugh and scoff cynically at simple Belief in God.

It is they who dominate the Earth today and who laugh and scoff cynically at simple Belief in God. I understand and agree with what you are saying here. But I don't agree that science and scientists' aren’t also in search of the truth, whether they find it or are looking the right way doesn't matter in that the truth is always worth looking for, and it may not be that easy to see (this is likely science's own fault, but that is another topic). I try to see both sides but a skeptical position is one I subscribe to often, and if I wasn't brought up the way I was, I've no doubt I would be one of the those who scoff cynically at simple Belief in God. With this in mind, I find it easier to sympathize with such people who actually do. It becomes puzzling...

And keep turning the other cheek. i guess the strategy is that the one slaping will get tired one day.......of slaping? It is not so much what happens to them, it is how it affects you. You learn nothing from war, except that it is hell. Compassion takes you to higher places.
