The first thought - Selfishness
Some one hundred thousand generations ago enough neurons made enough connections between the intuitive and analytical hemispheres of an expanding primate brain to allow a quantum leap in consciousness to take place
An evolving ape had a conscious thought as an independent self and became human
An eye became an I and an infant ego took birth in the cosmos
An observer apart from Nature had become conscious of consciousness itself
Who but God would have thought that such a small step for man would have such giant consequences for all life on Earth

Second thought: Possessiveness
With the infant ego established assertiveness is the next priority This is accomplished via possession of objects I, My and Mine are the watch-words Taking, clutching and holding are the acts Thus subject is defined by object

Third thought: Sharing
With self assertion established via selfish possession of objects extension of the self can only be accomplished via encouraging the ethic of sharing
The gratitude and admiration of others via the act of sharing expands the ego beyond the narrow self and begins the connection with the collective self

Any questions, feel free to ask. I rushed that like crazy. No questions and your theory is anything but crazy. Well reasoned and well put rainshine. Nice to hear from you again. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the Psyche-Genetic Theory. which explores the origins and ultimate destiny of conscious evolution.

You'll have to excuse me for deleting my post. I'm a total perfectionist, and on thinking it through, I decided I didn't want to go splashing rough sloppy versions of my theory around before I've gotten it down in a perfected form. I'm sure that, as an author and a thinker, you can understand. I would like to take a look at the psyche-genetic theory, but I can't remember whether you had any summation of it, because, being a pauper, I don't want to go buying your book before I've read a rundown of the ideas. Can you point me towards such a summation?
