When young I sought love from parents and family from idols from possessions
I sought to be loved via good behavior good deeds fame wealth.
When old I found love within myself there was no need for me to travel to Rome
Love was inside my heart all along reflecting outwards shining on the stones beneath my toes

"My duty is the debt of Love. I accept freely and willingly whatever burden is placed upon me. Love is as the love of lovers, except that instead of loving the phenomenon, I love the Essential. That religion, that duty, is mine, and is my faith. A purpose of human love is to demonstrate ultimate, real love. This is the love which is conscious. The other is that which makes man unconscious of himself." - Ibn al-Arabi

The degree of one's enlightenment is directly related to the depth of one's introspection

whoever used thinking and writing skills back in times considered primitive today did express an amazing degree of enlightenment
and was humble which does not appear on superficial knowledge of the records
