An atomic universe is dynamic because of negative and positive polarities. The symbolism of yin/yang by Taoist metaphysicians provides a clearer understanding of "good" and "evil" than do kabbalists. There are natural forces of non-trespass that go to the heart of nuclear physics. Right and wrong cannot be analysed. Matter is energy Energy is consciousness. The sanctity of every atom is inviolate. The right side of the brain has the ability to intuit trespass on any atomic associatiion. It releases an electrical impulse that makes one feel "uneasy" when trespassing. For instance - a fragile artifact "asks" you to be careful and not to drop it. The higher your state of consciousness is the more careful and more aware you are of non-trespass

YES! Evil exists. I have a personal story to relate to that, but only with approval of the thread starter. It has to do with exorcism/possession. oooo.

Thank you. ^
Okay people. Hear ye hear ye. I can't talk philosophically like you people [which I admire btw], nor do I intend on it because I'll make a fool out of myself, but bear with me.
Okay okay so one time, a loooooooooong time ago.. my cousin was going to a prty and she was in this isolated area, walking under a tree. She claims that she was just walking along... and the next day, everything changed. She would begin to throw tantrums, lock herself in the bathroom, speak in odd voices and try to suffocate herself. After many attempts to figure out what had happened, this exorcist guy [Muslim] came and talked to the 'spirit' inside of her. It wanted to eat lamb meat, so the family sacrificed a lamb and gave it. It wanted more so yah.. they complied and gave in.
And there was a time where it wouldn't get out of her and hurt her really badly. The spirit locked my cousin in the bathroom and started suffocating her, would not open the door etc. So my other cousin had to break the door open and yah, she was speaking in an evil weird voice.
So, I guess they performed an exorcism or whatever... and now she is normal, with a family and kids. YAY! But the point of this screwed up post of mine is to show that weird, evil spiritual things do exist. And most of us deny them until something happens to us.

Greetings,
If I may add to the thoughts here, evil must exist for good to exist. It is only through experiencing agony and pain that we can gauge joy and euphoria and vice versa. The polarities of yin and yang are necessary for either to survive, without one the other would cease to exist. The goal is to achieve a divine balance betwixt the two. Only then can we rise to a harmonious existence.

Thanks for sharing your story, bhrhrahraa... that's pretty creepy. Were you around your cousin when this was going on? That must have been really disorientating and disturbing. I have never experienced anything that dramatic first hand... but I've had some more subtly eerie experiences that have kept me open to such things. And innate to each of us... however they manifest.

Polarities of the same coin and very much dependant on upbringing as to which way one goes...
I have had one very strange experience in the distant past that I can really say can be classified as "evil".
I was on a city bus, and suddenly noticed someone move up the bus from the back. This man sat in the seat right behind me and started whispering (really close to my ear) a strange, evil sounding voice; a kind of language that I could not understand... If there was anyone that could have had evil in him it was that man...
This really scared me and I got off at the next bus stop...
At the time I was very spiritually open, having a lot of intuitive stuff going on and even one completely prophetic dream that happened to the letter a week after I had it...
I was spiritually vulnerable somehow and this experience caused in me a fear that only until recently did I really get rid of...It went to the core of my being.

Excellent post and it does illustare some important points about being spiritually open, sensitive and receptive to the other things (both seen and unseen) that dwell among us on this plane. We must be vigilant in our protection of our own essences. I am a very sensitive being when it comes to entities and vibrations. What I do for protection and strength is recite an affirmation in the morning. I also declare, myself sacred space, thus ensuring my own spiritual protection. Another thing that serves as protection, healing, clarity and awareness is my amethyst gem necklace. It has been charged and blessed by me and I wear it constantly, as this also helps it to gain strength and absorb my energy as well. While evil, indeed exists, there are simple ways of not allowing it to affect our lives. When I studied demonology and the occult, what I found was that if we dwell on an idea, like evil, it manifests in our lives. This is why it is imperative to remain positive, even in the face of adversity or difficulty. Know that evil is everywhere, but do not give it power, do not feed it by concerning yourself with it. Acknowledge it, respect it's place here and move on.

I was resting in my bed one morning with my eyes closed. Without opening my eyes, I sensed some being enter the room. I thought it was my dog, come begging for a walk in the park. So I felt no alarm. There was pressure on the mattress. Again I thought it was he, about to give me a lick. So I remained open to his affection. Suddenly there was loud animal snort/growl right beside my ear. Every muscle and sinew suddenly went rigid. It felt as though I was being gripped from within by iron bands. For some unknown reason I remained calm. I thought that if I could move just one finger, I would triumph over whatever the force was that had entered my body. I struggled with all my might. The finger began to move. The iron grip then suddenly switched to my throat. I was being strangled from inside my body! Now I got frightened. Without any thought, I gasped out a phrase.
"I KNOW JESUS!" (Why I said that I do not know, since I did not know Jesus.)
No relief. The grip just got tighter. The room began to spin crazily. I was desperate. An idea flashed into my mind. A yogi friend had told me that he had once used a certain battle mantra to ward off a psychic attack. I remembered the mantra and managed to gasp it aloud.
"OM NAMO SHIVAYA!" -
Instant relief. It was as though nothing had happened.
A long-forgotten incident entered my mind. I had once shot a male baboon out of tree for no reason at all except target practice. He fell dead, face down on the ground, his arms outstrethed. When I came over to examine him, I was struck at how much the muscular structure of his back, shoulders and arms made him look like a dead human. I felt a twinge of remorse. That shameful old memory made me think it was his spirit that had come for revenge.
Several months later, I was busy on documentary television special that focused on the training of Shamans. I made a friend of one of them and invited him over to my house for a cup of tea. The Zulu shaman shivvered violently as soon as he crossed my thresh-hold. "You have an angry spirit in your house." "Who?" "Baboon."
I had never told anybody about the psychic attack, or my shamful story of the baboon.
The shaman came back a week later with a gourd filled with a potion he had made. He used a wildebeeste tail as a switch, dipped it in the gourd and went around the house, from room to room, sprinkling the walls with the potion.
I never had another attack in that house.
