It's hard to ignore all the turmoil between peoples of different mind-sets and beliefs through the ages... At the same time, from a personal perspective, it's hard to think that people wouldn't naturally be far more live and let live if only they were afforded the same basic comforts and liberties. Sure there will always be those zealots who insist that their way is the only way, but I just can't see that being prevalent in a world where everyone has the same level of security and human rights. The Wiccan Rede sums it up like so: "An ye harm none, do as ye will". I think a world shared equally will be peaceful and infinite in it's variation of thought and beliefs. |

Cha, I can see where you might be right in this. If everone had everything they needed without having to fight for it all their lives, dispositions and willingness to let others be most likely would improve. Still, a part of me go's 'what if'? What if it isn't enough? But I guess that's a little to far into the future to be thinking about that right now.  |
