Work to live, live to work.
In the end, you loose.
It's just not worth it. Focus your attention on something more rewarding.

Exactly, I see money as a system that we have outgrown, and hopefully we outlive. To say that we determine the value of a human being through a quantitative "form" is a negation of the limitless power of the spirit.
The concept of money originated with the man so the man should be able to get rid of the concept, maybe? Oh that would be good.
To work for the purity of creation not the end result...mmmm.

Good one Kwan Yu. Think about that one, how you get Mother earth to agree to let you own her? ? But all documents are like that, business contracts, marriage contracts, divorce contracts. Paper representing the intent of spirit and character.

Yeah, it is strange if you think about it long enough... Such a silly little thing that the whole world is chasing.
Just last night I was watching American Idol, they have this new program called 'Idol Gives Back' basically people just donate however much money they can afford to children's charities and to raising awareness about poverty and violence in the world. They were sharing this story as an example of what the donated money has done, it was about these two little girls, sisters, somewhere on the streets of Africa. They became separated and one of the girls was picked up and taken to a shelter where she was fed and able to bathe. Eventually by simply driving up and down the streets, she spotted her sister and they were both taken back to the shelter. But lining every street was hundreds more homeless children. And I thought to myself, how can they just leave them behind? Out of the hundreds, only two little girls made it to somewhere safe..
When you hear of things like these you realize money is hardly even scratching the surface of what needs to happen to make this world a safe and secure place for everyone to live in. It seems that all it does is prevent that from happening. I really admire those on the ground, giving hands on help as much as possible, but even there they can only do so much without the finances. The whole thing just seems so wrong, as if human lives don't mean anything anymore. I hope someday everyone will finally realize just how terrible it is, and say "screw this, these people need help" burn all money, take control and give real help to those in need, without ever having to struggle to work around this impossible barrier we've built. I hope that people, for the pure sake of helping other people, unite and give this planet we all share an over-haul, and really make a difference.
uhh... gotten a bit off topic... sowwy

Good post Glacier.
I was thinking while I read it about how important the two girls getting back together was because if you were God (or any parent) if you had 10 children and 1 was suffering you would suffer. So at least that happened.
Then I watched the scene you saw play out in my mind of the hundreds that werent taken care of. I thought to myself, what would have been the "critical limit" where that would have become unacceptable in my mind. If there had only been one or two stranded children would we have even noticed over the drama of the search for one sister?
Or would it take 10 for us to notice? 20?
On one hand it is the stupid little piece of paper. Money. But then again that could all change in an instant if we could just raise consciousness to that "critical limit" where the callousness in us all is suddenly flipped on it's end and we change our perception about why we can't help and why it is Ok for even one person to suffer. ..... that I believe is our true enlightenment, no soul in darkness.

so the question is, how to change or raise the consciousness to that "critical limit"?
i do think money is a terrible thing. everyone is running after it and no one is happy. and there are news that the dollar is going down and what ever is associated with it. my mom refuses to hear such a thing because she does not want any bad news.
it might be the time we get rid of money if the situation get real bad.

Good post Glacier. I was thinking while I read it about how important the two girls getting back together was because if you were God (or any parent) if you had 10 children and 1 was suffering you would suffer. So at least that happened. Thanks Piper. Yes, on the positive side, it was sweet to see the two siblings reunited, you could just see how important it was to them to have each other to hold onto. One part of me says, if you're going to help any, you have to help ALL. But another part of me says that it wouldn't be possible to provide every single child with food and shelter, so you have to just do what you can, help those that you can. and if every life counts that critical limit starts with the fist homeless child, no one should have to suffer. But you're Right. would I have even made that post if there weren't hundreds of struggling children on that tape, too many to ignore? I don't know... i do think money is a terrible thing. everyone is running after it and no one is happy. Exactly. Our own creation, is making us unhappy, and holding us from our true potential. it might be the time we get rid of money if the situation get real bad Well thats just it, I think the situation has already gotten very bad. I mean, look at Global warming, by now everyone knows about this issue, though we can't do much to stop it because it would cost too much money to change our energy sources to something more echo friendly.
