Yes, I understand what you are saying, I actually had thought I'd met him. But, it turned out differently.

Thirty years ago the husband of our next door neighbor died, leaving her with no visible means of support.
She became psychic and well known almost overnight when she led the police to buried body. Cars from all over the country were regularly parked outside her house.

Intrigued my wife invited her over for tea one day, hoping to have her fortune read.
The old lady had a crystal ball wrapped in velvet
She claimed her psychic gift came after deep meditations on her departed husband.

She could not read my wife's fortune, but stated that she could see mine.
She said I would leave South Africa soon.
I had just recently re-married, gained a senior post as a television producer and bought a new house.
I had no intention of going anywhere.
Jokingly I asked where would I end up?
She saw palm trees and snow clad mountains.

Six months later I got into hot water with the Bureau of State Security over my anti-apartheid TV programs and had the choice between house arrest or exile.
I chose the latter.

I ended up in Hollywood in California, living on a street called, Carlton Way
Years previously early residents had an planted an avenue of palm tress.
When I arrived they were all over 90 feet tall and dominated the area.
I lived there under the palms for ten years

Then I moved to a ranch in Nevada
I am surrounded by snow-clad peaks
The 14,000 feet high White Mountain range overlooks the ranch from the west
10,000 foot high Silver peak range overlooks it from the East

I'd like to share a personal story.
There was a woman in my town that had a firm faith.
She was sort of a psychic but was able to obtain information not from asking, but from recitations and meditations.

About 6-7 years ago, my sister had lost a gold bracelet of mine while visiting a few cousins.
Now, the ground was really wet with mud.. so apparently it could have been anywhere.

A few minutes before the woman entered our house, we received a call from our uncle stating that the bracelet was found in the backyard, under mud.

We brought in this woman and as she was reciting verses from the Qur'an and reading her prayer beads, she was describing a young woman who was present. The description matched one of the young ladies, a family friend, present. She was keeping an eye on us so the younger ones wouldn't wander off to sea [there was a port behind the house].

Anyway, we decided not to tamper with her works so we told her of the recent call.

I don't know how relevant this is to the topic but I just wanted to share this story.

I've witnessed a few miracle cures and through stories told by families. But yah. This is an awesome thread.
